The dogs reportedly belonged to Michael Hanes and Kimberly Sheppard.

A Crosby boy was saved by two women after a vicious dog attack him and almost took his life.

Haley Green and her younger sister played in their back yard.

10-year-old Haley looked up and saw Mario Lopez, a boy from her school.

Haley Green reported that the boy was riding his bike when the dogs lunged at him.

The two girls yelled for help. Jodie Green came to help.

The boy was covered with blood from head to toe. He was missing a hunk from his arm and leg, left ear and a piece of his chest was hanging off, and he had bite marks and scratches on almost every visible part of his body. Haley Green said that the boy was in pain.

Both dogs were euthanized after their owners released them into the care of Harris County Animal Control.

The dog owners, Michael Hanes and Kimberly Sheppard, appeared in Harris County court last week. Prosecutor Belinda Smith charged Hanes and Sheppard with the dog attack, specifically failing to secure their dogs.

Woman sues Ford Motor company under a Park-to-Reverse theory; “Popped out of gear”; Ford Truck

The following statements and content reflect those claims made by a plaintiff in her lawsuit

against Ford Motor Company. The plaintiff claims that she suffered horrific injuries when she was crushed by a defective and unreasonably dangerous 2007 Ford F-250 XLT Super Duty. The plaintiff claims that she was driving home to Winnie, Texas and traveling eastbound on IH 10 East near mile marker 222, 10.2 miles east of Saragosa, Reeves County, Texas. She claims that it was during that drive home that she decided to switch drivers with her adult daughter. The plaintiff claims that she pulled over to the paved shoulder of the road, carefully and slowly and then stopped.

The plaintiff claims that she placed the truck in what she believed from the truck’s

cues and the feel of the truck to be “park,” and pulled her foot off the service brake, so that she could exit the truck. Before exiting the truck, the Plaintiff unbuckled her seatbelt and turned around to see if there was any coming traffic. Then the plaintiff opened the truck door, grabbed the door handle with her left hand and the window frame with her right hand and then stepped out of the vehicle. Her left foot and then right foot touched the ground. After the plaintiff’s feet touched the ground, the truck began to move backwards and the truck door came right at her. Unable to move around the rapidly approaching door, the plaintiff fell backwards. Unfortunately, the truck overtook her. The truck wheel came at her as she fell towards the ground. The wheel caught the plaintiff’s right foot. She saw and felt the wheel of the truck run over her right leg, right thigh, her chest and all the way up over her right shoulder; her leg, chest and shoulder sustained the entire weight of the truck. Seeing the wheel was coming right at her head, the plaintiff was able to just turn her head to the left enough that the tire did not run over her face. Had the tire hit her head, the plaintiff’s would be dead today.

The plaintiff medical condition was so severe that she sustained numerous internal

injuries including but not limited to nine broken ribs, five thoracic vertebral fractures, tissue damage and nerve damage the plaintiff injuries also included two and a half liter hematoma, a punctured lung and permanent disfigurement.

Since the day of the accident, the plaintiff has had to endure the painful and slow

process of ongoing recovery. For a period of time after the accident, the plaintiff was unable to work in her job as a surgical nurse with Texas Orthopedic Hospital. The plaintiff has been and is still in daily physical pain as a result of her injuries and will most likely continue to seek medical care and attention. The plaintiff’s injuries are so severe that she anticipates that she will be forced to quit her job due to the excruciating pain she endures when standing and working on the job.

Attorney, Richard Weaver in Houston, Texas is representing the plaintiff. Contact: 713-572-4900.

Driver Killed In Wreck With 18-Wheeler
Collision Happened On North Loop Near Eastex Freeway

The big rig and a Jaguar collided in the eastbound lanes of the North Loop near the Eastex Freeway about 8:30 a.m. according to the Houston Police.

The 18-wheeler hit the 65-year-old female driver of the Jaguar after she pulled onto the shoulder and was trying to re-enter the freeway.

The driver of the Jaguar was most likely coming out into the lane when the 18-wheeler hit her. Once the 18-wheeler came to a final rest, the right front tire of the truck was collapsed onto the entire vehicle. The lady was stuck inside the car according to police. Houston firefighters used the Jaws of Life to cut the woman out. Unfortunately and sadly, she died at the scene.

The 18-wheeler was hauling pipes or tubing. The cause of the collision is under investigation. Police are working to determine the details of the accident.
